My new MacBook

At the time these frames were hitting the image sensor of my camera, my eyes became a flash flood of emotions. Life decided to throw me a few curve balls and the last one hit me pretty hard, especially since my husband lives in Singapore and I am living in San Diego. But that didn't stop him from trying to put a smile on my face. Friday morning the door bell rang and FedEx delivered a package addressed to my husband. Why was the package delivered to San Diego if he is on the other side of the world? As I opened the brown box a white apple against a black background greeted my eyes as they began to well into to tears. How did he know? I wanted him to pop out of the FedEx box, but I knew that was wishful thinking. Thank you for believing in me and supporting my passion and dreams. You mean more to me than any amount of camera gear I will ever own.

An Abyssinian named Hund August 8, 2008

She may weigh less than ten pounds, but she acts like she weighs a ton! After a couple hours into the 2008 Olympic Opening Ceremony I began to get restless and decided it was time for my Canon 5D to make an appearance. My jealousy of everyone in Beijing capturing moments of the phenomenal ceremony got the better of me, so I took pictures of the next best thing, Jenny's cat Hund.

At the park with Brock ~ July 23, 2008

Until I started playing Brock's favorite game, tag, did I see his energetic "tag me" personality. His soft, shy disposition took a 180 when he was "it" and chasing me around the trees. The camera suddenly melted into my hands as though it became camouflage and I sequestered the freedom to capture a side of Brock I didn't see earlier. After "you're it" expired my workout was complete and Brock was due for a nap well earned.
