Melissa and Justin ~ September 13, 2008

What a fun wedding! A couple months before the big day Melissa, Justin and I were sipping margaritas, enjoying Mexican food and talking about their wedding as though we had been friends before I became their photographer. And out of all the restaurants in San Diego, they picked a Mexican restaurant. I couldn't help but think we were destined to cross paths.

With her positive, outgoing spirit, Melissa lightens a room when she walks in and when she's telling a story, she has everyone's undivided attention. Justin's easygoing attitude and goofiness compliments Melissa like chocolate on strawberries. The chocolate calms the sweet yet tart strawberry taste. And when Melissa and Justin are goofy together separating them is like extracting oil from water; it's virtually impossible. Their foundation is strong because it was built with the most powerful bond we know of, love.

While waiting for the hour hand to hit two o'clock Melissa couldn't help peeking out the window to get a glimpse of Justin before the ceremony. And just outside the room where Melissa was primping and preparing, Justin greeted the guests entering the church and thought about how eager he was to see Melissa. Finally when their eyes met, you knew they were meant to be together.

Thank you for allowing me to document such an important day in your life, it was such an honor.

Danielle's Senior Pictures ~ August 23, 2008

It's so hard to believe this beautiful young lady is a senior in high school, especially since she was three-years-old when I started baby-sitting her. After a long day at work Danielle met up with me to get these must-have shots for her senior year. You'd never know that she was yawning in between frames.

Post Wedding: Han-Mei and Joe ~ August 22, 2008

After honeymooning in Hawaii Han-Mei and Joe made a short stop in California before returning to their home in the Pacific Northwest. And I had the pleasure of capturing some of their first moments as a married couple! It's a shame they have to live so far from San Diego. It was really cool to see Han-Mei after nine years and to meet the man that makes her smile. This means our 10-year high school reunion is next year...yikes!
